I did.
She was cremated, it was a memorial service and tho we were divorced I still loved her and miss her.

Wow, I guess I have been lucky to love ppl and split with them amicably when we grew apart.
Both of my long-term partners have died and while I was in Florida with Brenda when Jim died in New Orleans and could not get to his wake, we did talk on the fone before he died and expressed our undying love for each other.
IDK if that is so unusual but apparently no one here has experienced it.
Brenda and I literally walked hand-in-hand to the courthouse to do our divorce - yet I still loved her after 18 years together and helped her move back with her family in North Florida. I even visited her there and we had sex like old times.
I went thru her dying process when she moved back to South Florida and could not even deliver the little blurb I had prepared for her memorial service because I was unable to talk without choking up.
