What size schools do you tend to be more impressed with: large or small? If you were sending a child to school, would you prefer it have a student body in the hundreds or thousands?

I will always believe smaller class sizes are ideal. I don't mind a very large school if the student to teacher ratio is impressive.

That's why homeschooling worked so well for us, 1 teacher and 2 students as opposed to 1 teacher per class per 30 students or 100 or whatever.

My mom homeschooled my bro... but he missed out on so much that i got to experience. Everything has its advantages/disadvantages.

My school had 1000 kids, with 198 in my graduating class. My mom's CLASS had 2,200 graduate. Larger schools often offer more activities, funding and services, however, if too big, the kid could feel lost in the crowd.

that same school my mom graduated from in the 50s, had stabbing in the 70s--- they had traffic lights in the hallways and 5 floors! The halls were so crowded, that the assailants were never determined.
