| yes/and no. My regular health plan has "dental coverage" that does not cover anything! LOL it covers like $10 for a cleaning, $12 for filling... i have to pay the balance. They offer a much better plan for another $40 per month, and then a vision plan for $20 per month... but i did not opt for them | |

| I once had a dental plan at work, but the dentists available was limited and I discovered that my co-pay was the same or more than a dentist I paid out of pocket. So I dropped the worthless insurance. | |

| Yes. Full coverage. A co-worker of mine who is only part time doesn't have dental, and it costs him $150+ for a check up, and if he needed any work done, he's running into the thousands. | |

| No and I haven't for years. When I lost it I looked around and bought a reduced fee plan for $150 for the year. It's not insurance but I get a discounted price for services. I recently had to have an old filling replaced and it cost me about $60. Better than nothing I guess. | |

Half of mine are plastic. I am just biding my time. I refuse to invest any great amount of money in the remaining teeth which are all compromised (mostly plastic bonds or ceramic crowns). If any more of my natural teeth go bad my plan is to remove them all and go total plastic.

Your dentist will object, he will tell you that you need anchor teeth, that's a crock, what you will need is a good tooth glue for your botton dentures. I had a deathly fear of dentists , so finally about 6 years ago when I was down to my last 5 teeth and another one went I told the dentist to pull them all , when the dentist objected I told him he could pull them all or I could find a dentist who would. He pulled them and I have never regretted it. Now if I need teeth I go to the denturist with no fear.

I had the same for years. Have you tried looking around? I believe there are a lot of companies out there with better packages to offer, depending with the needs at hand of course. Ever since my cousin suffered from a gum infection which caused dark discoloration of the gums, immediately I knew I had to get an insurance. I'm sure you could find something better than the discount you're using.

I really haven't thought about checking around for other insurance because I have a pretty good history of dental health. My dentist busted my chops because replacing that old filling was the first work he had a chance to do on me in a very long time. I'm not even sure it was one of his fillings.
