How much are you paying for cable/satellite per month?

$179.00 a month. I know its insane I have 3 HD satellite boxes 2 of them are DVR boxes. I also have every single channel Directv offers including sports channels and Playboy which I could drop since that is almost 20 bucks a month and a total waste of money. I also have channels 2-11 East and West which means that if I miss something on channel 2 at 8pm I can watch it at 11pm on the west coast channel.

Too damn much that's for sure. Anything I like is on the higher tier & you can't get HBO or Showtime without the higher tier either.

I have basic cable, just the broadcast channels which you can't reliably get by radiowaves and it costs $32 a month. Then I pay $40 a month for Internet & $29 for my fone line. AT&T wants to sell me a cheaper bundle but I am tied to Earthlink (Got 7 Websites with it).

About $110/mnth for satellite (4 boxes I own), for what probably equates extended Basic.on cable. HD is included for a number of channels. I have a separate TiVo DVR with Product Lifetime subscription.

Like I mentioned, I have everything separate because years ago I hooked up with Earthlink who at the time included the Website option and were affiliated with Sprint for long distance. The Websites are no longer part of their plan but they still support the existing ones and they split from Sprint years ago.
However, an advantage of NOT bundling all services to one carrier is being experienced by my daughter. She just moved and the cable co. screwed up and she has been two days now without fone, cable, internet. Her classes are online, so it is more than just a little entertainment inconvenience.

True however Canadians don't have as much choice of phone companies that Americans have. So when we went with the new company Shaw, their phone service was cheaper than Telus, then Telus tried to charge us about $120.00 to leave them. We fought with them for several months before we finally told them that any more correspondence from them should be sent to our lawyer. Gave them his name and address. As soon as they got our letter they e-mailed us and phoned us we weren't home so they left a message saying we didn't owe them a cent! They claimed we had a contract with them, I knew that the verbal con tract was up quite some time before. Shaw doesn't do contracts.
