Unsweetened tea taste pretty much like "dirt water" to me. A little bit too "earthly" for my tastes. I like mine extra sweet whether it's iced or hot.

When I was a kid the way my dad made ice tea was 3 tea bags in a gallon of water, NO sugar, I drank that, and I tried his coffee, and aside from the fact that the coffee was much much stronger I found they both had about the same 'dirt taste'.

I don't drink either tea or coffee, what ever I do drink must have a lot of ice.

I'm a "Sweetened, but no lemon" kind of person. So in a restaurant i normally have to order "unsweetened" and do it myself, or it has lemon.
Although, my BIL used to make it sweetened with lemon and oranges.. and that was awesome!
