| A friend of said he accidentally left his cell phone in his pants pocket when he put those pants into the washing machine. As a result he destroyed his phone. Later though he bought a pack of rice and dipped his phone into it and now it works again.
Has anyone ever tried this? | |

| I guess the rice absorbs the moisture but its funny it still worked after being soaked. | |

| Tony's right. Rice will absorb the water. I've heard of people doing this but I never tried it myself. Can't imagine that the phone would ever been fully functional again, even if it helped a little. | |

| I have heard many people say it works. My stepdaughter swears that if your phone gets wet, remove the battery and pop it in a microwave for 15 seconds. She says she's done it twice, both times being successful. | |
