Man Wins Lottery After Being Dumped By Girlfriend

BOSTON, Mass. -- From jilted lover to jackpot winner! A man who was recently dumped by his girlfriend is laughing all the way to the bank.

22-year-old Sandeep "Sunny" Singh has struck it rich in the Massachusetts Mega Millions lottery, winning $30.5 million.

He won $4 on a scratch-off lottery ticket, and used those winnings to buy four quick pick Mega Millions tickets -- including the winning ticket.

The real kicker is that his girlfriend had recently left him.

Singh said he was feeling pretty low after the break-up, but now things are looking a whole lot better.

"She broke up with me, but right now I'm not really worried about it," Singh said. "I was heart broken at first, but now I'm getting over it."

Singh didn't say if he's heard from this ex since hitting it big.

He currently works two jobs to help his family make ends meet, and says he plans to pay off his mom's mortgage.

Singh also plans to share some of the winnings with his sister, his only sibling, as well as donate some money to the community.
