Admittedly, I haven't seen any of the Twilight movies; but I have seen some lightweight vampire films that were more comedic than scary. For me it more depends on the story. If the story is scary and the characters are intense, no other story/characters will ruin it for me.

I don't see a problem. A talented writer, director and cast won't be able to make a successful (scary) vampire horror movie ever again because of the Twilight movies? Fashizzle?

LOL, I was being facetious. I've heard of Twillight. And who made you the grand puba of what's "quality"? I watch movies that INTEREST me. I'm not interested in vampires or any other horror/love flicks with corny ass plots like the one you just described. I'm more of a music lover than a movie lover anyway.

I never watched "Twilight".
Last night I watched a Bela Lugosi movie, and he STILL made the best vampire of all time.
I have an adult niece who is 'addicted' to vampires (no pun intended), and I find this a bit curious 'n' odd about her.

I don't get how a coffin could be comfortable. Although, I'm assuming they've made some improvements on them in the last 60 years, James Dean got in one for some kooky pictures and when he climbed out he said the gross part is when the lid comes down, it smashes your nose.

There are different types of Vampires today some that are scary and some that are more docile but one thing they all have in common... they are still cold blooded killers. Even in Twilight you see some pretty brutal scenes with the Vampires tearing people apart. On the series Vampire Diaries, Vampire walk during the day, go to school and town functions but they are still killers if you cross them. No matter how sweet a vampire comes accross these days there is still part of them that can scare the hell out of you.
They are doing the very same thing now with werewolves but as Vampires, they are still cold blooded killers when you cross them.
