Subject: Tina Turner: Your Opinion? Tue Oct 23, 2012 1:51 pm
Hi Everybody,
I have a couple of her CDs, including a greatest hits type of album, and what can I say? This woman kicks some serious butt! A great, powerful voice and a don't-mess-with-me attitude to boot! Not to mention, of course, some beautiful songs, some sassy songs.
What's your opinion of Tina?
I give this artist a grade of: A

I respect the hell out of her hustle and grind, but only casually like a few of her songs.

Tina is an A+!! Very classy lady, full of energy and her songs were one better than the other, it would be hard to choose which is a favorite but We Don't Need Another Hero (Beyone the Thunderdome) is one of my favorites. I saw an old clip of her once with Ike Turner and the Ikettes and she was performing River Deep Mountain High and man she blew it away! Tina needs to be inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame if she hasn't been already.

A loud, screaming ass woman who looked like she rolled her hair in firecrackers and who used her marriage to gain sympathy and piggyback her success. She's not all that talented to me or even that a great singer or performer. I never been into her, her voice slightly irks me and growing up, we only played her music from the Ike and Tina days. I casually like a few of songs from her solo work, I'll admit, but I can largely leave Tina Turner. I prefer Anna Mae Bullock.
