My Rotten Son Would Never Do That

I get so tired of these mothers of really rotten, low down asswipes claiming their kids would never do these despicable things. I mean denial is one thing, even clanish loyalty but why would they say such rubbish?

I had a teen nephew who put a gun in a woman's face and robbed her. My wife and I were disappointed and actually had no contact with him while he was in prison. Mainly because all I would have had to say was "What the fuck gave you the right to do that?"

I will be the first to turn in a rotten family member. My loyalties go to the victims of crime.

MIAMI (CBS4) – The U.S. Marshals say Barton Hill, 19, is on the run from double murder charges.

“He’s one of the most sought after fugitives in the city right now,” said Deputy U.S .Marshal Barry Golden.
The teenager is on the run from an arrest warrant for a shooting spree in Little Haiti last month. The feds say Hill and another man opened fire on 4 men who were watching Monday Night Football. Two of those shooting victims, brothers, did not survive.

Hill’s mother told CBS4’s Brian Andrews she doesn’t believe her son is capable of killing anyone.

“When I find out where he is, I’ll be glad to take him, along with our lawyer, down to police to get this straightened out,” said Barbara Hill.

Barton Hill has a criminal past for violent crimes, including armed robbery and attempted murder, dating back to the age of 16.
US Marshals Deputies believe he is still in the Miami area.

EVERYBODY is capable of killing someone, if I can admit that I can sure as hell admit that it would be POSSIBLE for my kid to do something like that, though I hope to God it never did. But yes, if my flesh and blood took it upon themselves to murder someone in cold blood, I'd have no problem turning them in and forgetting all about them.

"My baby wouldn't never do nothin like that" syndrome. It's no doubt a contributing factor. Some kids are going to act this way regardless of what the parents try. But dammit they have to at least TRY.

I'm guessing this kid isn't responsible for his criminal past either. Just a misunderstanding...running with the wrong crowd... Yeah. Right.

Exactly. Excuses are easier than actually trying to DO something. This woman seems to be an example of lazy parenting. I don't know if she is just to stupid to see the obvious, too incompetent to deal with it or if she's one of those parents who want to be the kids "friend". But her denial is bullshit. Maybe her efforts wouldn't change anything but she doesn't even seem to be making the effort.

Yeah I ran with the wrong crowd too & was an active member myself. But it was always a victimless situation. Surprised I didn't fry my brain or liver but never harmed anyone else. There's no acceptable excuse for that.

The worst thing a parent can do in this situation can do is release any comment to the media. No matter what she says either in favor or against her son is going to be used against a family.
