Annoyances at Night

So we have all been through this, it's 3 or 4 am, you have been asleep for a long time or you have just been able to get to sleep, then all of a sudden you get woken up by some kind of noise:

Garbage cans being knocked over
Car alarms going off
Drunk people trying to talk on cells
Police cars going past
Trucks or car going past

What pisses you off? Feel free to explain your answers

I have earplugs which does help if the noise is not overbearing. Had to tell a neighbor below me that his woofers penetrated the floor and earplugs could not keep bass out. (Yeah, I am that grumpy old man that bangs on your door at 3 a.m.)

At 3 a.m. you should be calling the cops!

Usually it's my loud bladder that wakes me up. Or my wife's snoring unless I do wear my earplugs. Or if I get overheated. Strangely enough, I will usually sleep through thunder storms, etc.

I'm a heavy sleeper so I miss most of that stuff. In fact, the other night my mom, who sleeps downstairs, AND the dog, who is partially deaf, both woke up when they heard a loud crashing noise from upstairs; she figured either I fell out of bed or the roof was caving in. No, the stack of paperback books by my door fell down during the night, and I was in the room when it happened and slept right through it. Usually the only thing that gets me up at 3 in the morning is a really LOUD thunderstorm that comes out of nowhere.

Nothing like happens often enough to wake me up, let alone be pissed about it.

Hell, I'm probably the drunk who knocked over the trash can, that set off the car alarm, trying to use my cell phone.

I have the Vampire neighbors next door. He decides to wash his car at late at night or throw away the trash and bang the pails. Then their are the Racoons that knock over his garbage pails and have a family dinner at the wee hours of the morning. The jerk must like picking up garbage every day or he would store his garbage in his shed like I do until garbage pick up day.

Garbage cans falling over is probably the one that I notice the most because my bedroom faces the side of the house where they're on.

Anybody who texts me between the hours of 12am-10am, unless we're seriously dating. WTF do we have to talk about at that time??? And if I'm woken up out of my good slumber, heads will ROLL.

Tony, if him washing his car woke me up, I would go over there and pee on it after he went back inside. Especially the driver's side door handle.

My "3am" is really your "8am" so.. anything between 6am and noon drives me nuts. It is usually the maintenance guys working on the roof or pipes. And EVERY FREAKING TUESDAY--- the landscapers come... From 8am til 9am they are mowing outside my bedroom window (the area is not that big!). From 930-10 they hedge trimmer guy comes.. from 11-noon the weed wacker guy comes, and then eventually there is a guy who sucks it all up in this vacuum thing. So on Tuesday mornings (which is my monday) I get absolutely NO sleep whatsoever

Aside from the baby when he's wet or restless, I have to say it's neighbors coming and going. My bedroom is facing my neighbors driveway and I hear it every time they slam their car door and start their engine.

Basically what everybody else mentioned is annoying. My phone ringing in the middle of the night and waking me up out of a deep slumber is annoying too.
