Oh I read the new spoilers that made me happy. I read that Sharon tells Nick that she need to get away from both of her Newman ex's and when Nick asks Sharon for a reconcellation she says no and shuts him down. Saw those at SOC.

I think Phyllis is going to be worse when she return from her trip. I can't wait. I think she is finished holding back her feelings.

She sure doesn't because she came on this show as a mean character and that is why I didn't like the way they wrote her to keep letting Nick treat her like a door mat.

And I am going to enjoying having her back and I hope she stick it to Nick and Sharon.

It was good to hear but it won't make a difference. Nick is too thick-headed for that. At least she was able to get it all out - just hope it happens more often. Maybe eventually she'll penetrate the fog that is Nick's brain.

True, it is not as if he is the only man in that town. I am just glad one of those woman broke his cycle of going back and forth between them. Sharon is not strong enough and let him treat her anyway.

It's like they think women want to see other women needing a man who treats them poorly in their lives. Not sure what TPTB are thinking, but I can't figure out what we're supposed to see in women who keep going back and forth and just can't stand up for themselves.

Usually this show has their woman to be strong independent women but lately they are maing them more and more needy and dependent on men as if they can't do anything without a man protecting them or can't make decisions for their own like. I hate this.

Seems to be the trend with all soaps - weak, pathetic women. It's good to know that Y&R used to have strong, independent ones, though. Was there a chance in TPTB or something? New head writer who changed things up?

I really don't know but there still are some strong women on, Sharon has just been a weak woman all her time on this show. Phyllis was alwasy vindictive and strong till she got with Nick but I see she is getting it back but she is losing it becasue she will loves him. She has a lot of issues to work though yet. But at least she has made the right first step of leaving him which is someting Sharon has never been able to do.

I have been watching YnR from the day it started and the only really strong woman I have ever seen on the show has been Katherine but she has not always been strong and only became strong the past few years. The women have always been powerless to the men. Now I do remember Lori Brookes standing Victor up at the altar but that one was a real rarity.

I think Tracie is pretty strong and Lauren used to be till Sheila started to come back. Phyllis was too till she met Nick.
