John crying over Evangeline

You don't know how bad I wish Natalie was there to see that.

Like he really care. I guess that is why he dropped her for Natalie. He could have kept that fake ass cry as far as I was concerned.

For every very sad occasion John has one tear to shed. Every time I ask myself, from which eye shall it drop?

LOL - ITA with all of this. After the way John treated Vange, I don't buy his fake tears. He prolly just feel bad that he wasn't able to race to the rescue of a damsel in distress.

I'm going to be in the minority on this one here lol. ME imo did a pretty good job-the emotion was all there in his posture, face, everything. He didn't need to scream or be a crybaby in order to show how devastated he felt, the loss he felt over hearing about Van dying. I thought the toast was well-done and so John- now that showed a glimmer of the John I actually liked once upon a time when he was in love with Van.

After this, I'm pretty sure it's quickly back to being anti-McBain. This was short but sweet lol.

I have to co-sign this post as I felt he wine and toast were well-done tribute. I also thought John staggering back and dropping done into his chair in shock was his best reaction. It was a punch in the gut to hear she was gone and ME played it well.

All she would have done is put on a phony sympathy act in an attempt to manipulate the situation to her advantage; similar to the she acted when Marty lost the baby.

As good as it was to see John show emotion over Evangeline, I was put off by how it quickly morphed into being about Eli (with Layla divulging to him that Lisa called Eli/Bennett, etc., etc.) Would have been nice if John's remembrance of Evangeline had been a scene that only featured him, and perhaps some flashback sequences instead.
