    What are some things that as a kid, made no sense to you and you never got what the big deal was?

    One thing I never got as a kid, what was the big deal about oil? It was a mess, I didn't get why if you suddenly struck it, you would be rich like in the Beverly Hillbillies.

    Another one I never got, and still don't, on so many sitcoms there's always some teenage girls drooling because they get to see a movie with some name brand star and the big deal is 'he takes his shirt off', so what? Even as a kid I knew he's not getting naked so it's not a big deal, I was never impressed by any guy's physique, no matter HOW they were built. I saw my dad without a shirt on plenty of times as a kid and as far as I was concerned, you seen one topless guy you seen 'em all.

    Another one I never understood on sitcoms, you have two teens kissing and the audience is going wild, you'd think that they were actually doing SOMETHING that would warrant all the whoops and howls. Again, I knew, they weren't having sex so it's no big deal.

    Some ppl have the ability to fantasize and project what it would be like to run their hands over a well-sculpted body on a gorgeous guy. Now if your dad looked like Taylor Lautner, Ryan Reynolds, Ryan Gossling, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Alex Pettyfer, Channing Tatum, etc. I would like to see him shirtless as well.

    As for the other stuff, going all gaga because of some simple public display of affection usually comes from a simpler time (the time in which I grew up). Are you refering to movies made before 1970? It is usually just passed over in modern movies whenever kids are caught making out even when caught with their pants down.

    I never understood why the villain never just took off Batman's mask when he had him tied up (or why they never hung around to see the slow-moving death device do it's work) or how just a pair of glasses was enough to keep people from seeing that Clark Kent was Superman. Shrugs (Oh well…)

    Oh...and I didn't get compound interest.

    I fantasize constantly about this... only its MY guy... last time he came home from Iraq.. the man was chiseled and huge... I was like "did u grow or something?" I couldnt resist running my hands from his neck on down go gurl! my man is freaking hot as hell!

    No, I'm talking shows from the 90's, granted they were the family friendly sitcoms so any PG action was taken very heavily, but still I always thought it was stupid, two teens are kissing and everybody in the audience acts like it's the event of the year.

    And, in answer to the first part, I doubt if he'd been better built it would've made any difference because I saw the big body builders on TV when I was little, and they were just funny looking, all those big muscles, it was weird, it wasn't attractive, and that's one thing that really did not change too much as I got older.

    When I was pretty young, I could absolutely not understand how singers could memorize all those songs.

    I also never got why "sleeping with" someone was so scandalous. It was just sleeping. Seemed pretty silly someone would do that for a thrill.

    I couldnt understand how some ppl don't dream. I sometimes had dreams that continued from night to night.. and even today I have long "marathon" dreams that seem to go on for hours. I have actually not wanted to wake up because I wanted to see what happened in the end! lol

    I used to wonder why "snorting coke" was bad, except would say "Why would people snort coke... it hurts to get water up your nose in the pool, so why put coke up there?"
