| Anyone else aware of this? Anyone else scared shitless that the people on both sides of the aisle will let the country drive right over it? I'm worried that we have too many politicians and not enough statesmen. | |

| Let's just hope the Repugnicans got their comeuppance this election and found out that a lot of their own party have had enuf.
Here in Florida they tried to suppress the vote by cutting time and putting 10 constitutional amendments on the ballot which had up to 6 hour waits. They hoped ppl would just chuck it and go home, but they were pissed enuf to stand in line from 7 p.m. Tue to 1 a.m. Wed to vote for Obama.
Now we hope the those voters will remember our T-party elected Gov Snott in a couple years as the guy who caused that inconvenience. So the Repugs in Florida are crawfishing on a lot of stuff right now because the voters are pissed.
IDK how stupid they are in Washington, but they better start thinking about their own chances in a couple of years.

| For the good of the whole country we need to clean sweep all the Repugnicant asswipes out of our legislature.
If the Florida voters aren't entirely a flock of mindless sheep with no remembrance of those excruciating long voting lines purposely made by the Repugnicant controlled legislature and our T-Party Gov. they should be ready to use their vote to affect some change. Already the Repugs are closing rank and trying to figure out how to hoodwink the voters again.
Obama is the only other Democratic prez to win Florida TWICE since FDR in 1944. Surprised them - even after all their sneaky efforts to suppress the Dem votes.

| I gave up hope on not riding over the fiscal cliff the moment the Democrats stole the election last Tuesday. That ship has sailed. The Republicans are too ballless to stand up to the Crats who care more about power and control than helping people. So we got Ballless GOP, and we got a Democratic party that is actively trying to destroy the country. The selfish morons who voted Democrat last Tuesday don't understand what it takes to avoid the fiscal cliff, hence why they pulled the "speed up" lever to drive us right over it. But alas, what's done is done. No use crying over the fiscal cliff. Those of us not living in the Lala land where Obama is actually a competent leader will prepare for collision while everyone else rolls down their windows to catch the wind on the way to the bottom. | |

| what bothers me is that every time they talk "government shut down" or "debt ceilings" etc, they also threaten the pensions of many government workers such as my mother. She receives $2000 a month after taxes/health insurance and is not entitled to social security because she is a Civil Service retiree. With 42 yrs in service and 4 in the USAF, if the government "shuts down", then it is possible that Office of Personnel Management will not pay out pensions. Many of these pensions were paid by the USPS, not the tax payer money, and it is an outrage that good hardworking retirees' money can be threatened that way. | |
