    Carrie (1976) Empty Carrie (1976)

After 36 years I have finally seen this movie. Oh, I've seen the money-shot scene at the prom over the years, but I was out of country in '76 and had never seen the entire movie.

They are doing a remake next year so I found a used DVD and saw the original. How '70s with the casual nudity in the shower scene. Those were the days! Before the neo-prudery of the '80s.

I doubt the re-make will top the original.

This was a pretty good film, I rented it about a month or so ago. I'm glad Carrie got the ultimate revenge! blasted

I will probably go see it.

Watching the features that had Brian DePalma and cast, it was noted in several places how the movie deviated from the Stephen King book. Also, it was one of those low-budget films that became classic. DePalma and George Lucas were drawing their actors from the same casting call for this movie and for Star Wars.
