everything went (mostly) as planned---- they were all fun, but a bunch of freaking drinkers! i couldnt believe it! WOW! to the max!

The only one who got too carried away was my best friend... of all people. LOL but no arrests. everyone went to a bar afterwards, then to another bar when that closed, then to a diner for breakfast... it was hysterical.

Now they want to do one every year instead of every 5 years LOL

the FB reunion page is going crazy. they want to leave it up to invite others to parties, BBQ, the shore, bowling lol.

About 9 years ago, I guess it was 2 or 3 women from our graduating class got the ball rolling to have an informal class reunion (unfortunately because they were attending another classmates wake and they realized that we've lost more than a few people and maybe we shouldn't wait.) So to make a short story long, we had a cookout at one of the county parks and had a great time. One of our classmates who lives out of state and wasn't able to be there started a group for us on Yahoo. This was before Facebook so it became a nice way to reconnect with people from our misspent youth.

actually, the cookout idea is a good one... thanks. would be nice to have it at a park, have everyone's kids there... play football, frisbie... whatever. hmmmm... could be fun.

wouldnt cost much either.. just have ppl bring their own stuff... but like i said, these ppl were drinkers... i laughed soooo hard... this woman said, "I only brought my hubby so he could drive me home". then she got sooo hammered, and when the time to leave came, she said, "we're going to the bar, you go home, i have a ride". LOL... i was getting pics of everyone, and only one time the whole night did she dance with him... they even ate at different tables LOL was hysterical.

My wife never goes to my reunions (20, 30 and the cookouts). Usually not much fun for some people to sit around listening to other people's stories that they have absolutely no connection with. I went to her 5th but I knew some of her friends. As to the cookouts, we made the decision to make it adults only just so people didn't have to split their time chasing after their kids. Only one person got their nose out of joint. It was more of a request, not like we would have thrown anyone out. We told people to bring their underage kids if they didn't have a baby sitter or whatever. A couple of people brought a teenager (not as a date) but that was fine.

Oh, I am so delighted to read it was a good night for you. I know how worried you were about the whole thing. How did the 50/50 raffle go?

Thanks for the cookout idea. A bunch of them said they would really like to have an annual spring family event. We have a park that has a pavilion with tables, large fields, a playground right there.. and someone offered to get us a volleyball net from where he works.. so could be alot of fun. was hoping i could get tackled playing football..by some hot doctor, but unfortunately, they want to do a touch football version LOL
