I'm noticing my voice lately is becoming more and more "graggly" and deeper sounding. I hate to think that's its me getting older but I can't think of any other reason why. Are you noticing any changes to your speaking voice?

When I don't do a lot of talking for a number of days I notice my voice loses its smoothness.

i had bronchitis back in september and for a couple months i could not yell or scream ... nothing would come out. I have my yelling voice back, but it does sound different

Yes until a year or 2 ago people never guessed I was an old lady, now I know it has become more quavery and old.

Sometimes after an upper respiratory illness my voice gets really deep. My wife used to love that. I suspect there is something about a deep male voice that affects women on some primal level. I used to tease her with "HEY BABY, WANNA FUCK?"

I've always had a deep voice for a female, but the older I get, the more "Suzanne Pleshette" it becomes.

I was mistaken for a man fairly often (on the phone) before I quit smoking. Kind of startling to hear myself addressed sir.

I hear you on that, though I've never smoked. Mine comes naturally and I've occasionally frightened children and small animals with my voice. LOL
