    • Where were you living, and with who?
    • Anything specific or significant happen to you that year?
    • Do you recall much about that period in entertainment (music, movies, television)?
    • If you could relive it, would you?
    • On a 10 pt. scale, how would you rank the year?

I was living at home, going to school. Nothing special happened to me that I can recall. As far as music I was liking Ace of Base, Celine Dion, Madonna and Haddaway with a few in between. If I could relive it would I, I would rather not. It was an 7 out of 10 for me.

I was in the 5th grade about to turn 11 and confused as hell since my parents had divorced a few months earlier. Now that I think about it, this was the day my mom packed her stuff to send to her new apartment and they both asked me while standing in the driveway who I wanted to live with.

Hell no I wouldn't relive it. thumbs down

Had only just turned 12 at the time, so I was still living at home with my parents and brothers. Other than Kurt Cobain and OJ, I don't remember much about that year to be honest.

    • Where were you living, and with who?
In Queens, with my mother and brother.

    • Anything specific or significant happen to you that year?
Other than turning 11, that was the first year that I started spending summers with my father. My parents broke up the year prior. Sixth grade was a pretty good year. Started attending a new school.

    • Do you recall much about that period in entertainment (music, movies, television)?
Martin, Living Single and New York Undercover was all the rage....those were my top three shows.....Aaliyah and Brandy just came out, Boyz II Men was the most popular R&B group, R. Kelly was hot from his 12 Play album, so was Janet Jackson from "24Play", Barry White made a small comeback, I loved Da Brat's debut album, and I totally loved "Body And Soul" by Anita Baker and "Creep" by TLC was my favorite song of that year. OJ was in the news, the death of Richard Nixon was big, Nelson Mandela just become president of South Africa, apartheid ended, Susan Smith killed her kids then blamed it on a black man kidnapping them.

    • If you could relive it, would you?
Sure would. I loved being a kid.

    • On a 10 pt. scale, how would you rank the year?
    8.

    • Where were you living, and with who?
Gainesville Florida with my wife Brenda
    • Anything specific or significant happen to you that year?
Nothing out of ordinary - I was working as a CNA at Shands Hospital
I was involved with all sorts of civil activism in this university town.

    • Do you recall much about that period in entertainment (music, movies, television)?
Can't remember. I think Star Trek had series on TV - I woulda gone out of my way to watch that. I saw lectures by Jane Goodall and by Joycelyn Elders at UF. College towns have their own entertainment.
    • If you could relive it, would you?
Yeah, I was younger, Brenda liked wild sex - it was fun.

We were in Nanaimo BC, it was not a good time for us. We moved as soon as we could and things just kept improving. We only had a few years before hubby was due to retire, so we saved every penny we could and fortunately when he did retire 8 years ago we felt very lucky that it would be a comfortable retirement.

•Where were you living, and with who?

•Anything specific or significant happen to you that year? Yes, it was the year of my high school graduation

•Do you recall much about that period in entertainment (music, movies, television)? I recall a lot. I was so into the newest Janet Jackson C.D. and I also really loved the one hit wonder, Lisa Loeb. When I moved after graduation, I was happy to have cable with my rent at the apartment. I could finally watch music videos and was so happy about it.

•If you could relive it, would you? Yes, I would.

      My ma, stepdad, and siblings.

    • Anything specific or significant happen to you that year?

Nothing in particular, left 7th and entered 8th grade.

Wait! Went to my first Janet concert that year!!
      big grin

    • Do you recall much about that period in entertainment (music, movies, television)?

Yes, this was within the middle of the "janet. era", janet's most successful era to date. She was everywhere. Along with that there was so much goin on in music, R&B/Hip Hop was crazy during this period. I'd be here all day really if I get into it. But just know that it was part of the best times growing up.
TV? Apart from the 3 shows NY mentioned, this was when Melrose really started taking off, I was so hooked! I remember Janet (performer) & Heather Locklear (host) being on that season finale of SNL that year.

    • If you could relive it, would you?

      Yes
    • On a 10 pt. scale, how would you rank the year?

Ah, December 1994. . . . I was 27 years old, and I and a co-worker and close girlfriend of mine ended up skipping the hospital Christmas party that year. We both got pregnant that night, so there was lots to snicker about in 1995. big grin
