Issue still isn't resolved. I need a special part that is going to cost $900 to order. Can't afford that this week, so I'm driving my wife's car until next pay day.

My head is still spinning over the quote. I had the guy check and from the dealer, the part is only ten bucks cheaper. For the entire month of December my car had been running funny, then this week it got noticeably worse. So bad that I can't really drive it as is. It's bumming me out. This has been a suck ass week for me. But you do what you gotta do.

Thanks, brother. No, a part of the exhaust and muffler broke underneath. As a result, the car is very loud and I'm not getting good compression (it's slow to move when I press down on the gas.)

I'm sorry you have to deal with this, Chris. A few years ago my daughter came home one evening and told us she had hit a pot hole. Next morning I go out and her tire is flat. When I put the spare on I could see that she had bent the rim in two places. Keep in minds this is just a Chevy Aveo with nothing special about. No custom rims. I checked all over the internet with no luck and finally called a local Chevy dealer (knowing I was going to get bent over). I spoke to the parts man and he looks up the part. He gets back on the line and says he'll have to call me back. A little while later he calls back and tells me $700+. For a set?! No, one wheel. That's why he had to call me back. He needed to call someone else to make sure the number he found was right. Lucky for me I found a place that could fix it for $200 plus the cost of a new tire. Good luck, man PS, what are you driving?

What kind of car is it? And don't go to a dealer to get it fixed....unless it's under warranty.
