I LOVE this movie, it's the only one I have ever seen that's based on a Shakespeare play, and in all honesty I ONLY saw it because James Cagney was in it and I wanted to see him turned into a donkey. But I love it, this is definitely one that my mother would classify as 'weird' and probably 'stupid' and 'boring', etc., but I love it, I love the music, I love the humor, I love how Cagney and Joe E. Brown and the rest of them work so well together, and those costumes, 5,000 naked fairies in blond shimmering wigs running around the woods, what's not to like? Has anybody else seen it?

I think I did, was Mickey Rooney in it? I know I saw a version of MSND when I was a kid and he was in it.

Yes he was in it, him I found to be a bit annoying but then again what can you expect from a fairy? They're not known for being pleasant.

I thought so. I hardly remember the movie but have images of him in it.
