i would say the 50s, but i know that it is idealized.. and was in no way what ppl make it seem. i would say the 80s... better clothes, better music, and cheesey teen movies

I would love to go back to the 60's and meet the Woodstock Generation but on the same note I would like to go back to the 1800's and meet Lincoln and perhaps be a General in the Civil War.

I should note here that 'decades' do not always align with cultural shifts.
If you say Woodstock, even tho it was 1969 it was more a part of the late '60s early '70s.
The first half of the '60s was very uptite, repressive and sex-negative just like the '50s. It wasn't until the mid '60s that civil rights on all fronts started manifesting and the counter-culture 'Hippie' movements started.
