| I just noticed it on my speed dial, but it's been a few years now since I even logged in. I just never took it off my bookmarks. Tonight I logged in and it looks...different. Weirder. Like they're trying to revamp it but I'm not sure they'll be able to. | |

| Justin Timberlake bought it. - Quote :
Justin Timberlake brings sexy back to Myspace, releases new single 1 day ago
Justin Timberlake's relaunched Myspace exploded onto the social media scene Tuesday, conveniently timed to coincide with his new single "Suit & Tie," which you have to log in to hear (showing that JT has some great business sense). Accompanying the launch is a mixture of eye-rolling haters, enthusiastic nostalgia-seekers, skeptics and peeps who are just happy to have a profile song again. The revamped design has so far been well received, though the site's incompatibility with Internet Explorer is causing trouble for some users. Everyone else is probably too busy plastering their new pages with meme-checkered wallpaper and searching for inspirational quotes to notice.

| I had not heard Timberlake purchased it. I don't think it could ever be FB, but maybe it could be a revived as a music scene related social networking venue. What could save them in that respect is the ability to embed playlists.
Otherwise, I think FB will always dominate.

| LOL. No. MySpace is too complicated. Although Facebook bought Instagram, they will start to lose in popularity to Instagram soon. And then something else will come along. | |

| I was a Facebook junkie and went through a Twitter phase too. Myspace I could never get into because it's so convoluted and was basically a knockoff of Blackplanet. It needs a huge design overhaul for it to make inroads to a comeback and then they would have to try and convince people to bother but that won't be easy because from what I see everybody is cynical about Myspace today. It's like going back to zip drives & diskettes. | |

I'm over Myspace. They need to just let that go. The only people still using it are self promoting musicians.

| There are way too many social network sites out now IMO. If they wanna make a comeback they should overhaul the whole thing and change the name to something else because "Myspace" is as outdated as the Motorola Q. | |

| I actually like their new look, but I don't know. I started a Myspace page to promote this forum, but I haven't updated it since the very early days of the Chamber, and much of what I put on it was arbitrary and random. Myspace now has this 'stale' stigma attached to it that seems like it'd be hard to shake. Reminds me of the times Atari tried to revamp its gaming system in the age of Nintendo and Sega. Some things are just products of their time and can't easily be rebooted. | |

| For several years MySpace was the big meeting place of social networks. I still have an account there under my real name and get the occasional message but it is basically dead. All the ppl I actually interacted with on MySpace are now with me on Facebook and we complain about those idiots running FB doing the same mistakes that MySpace did. (Making changes that no one asked for and no one appreciated).
I have IE and didn't know that was a specific problem, but sometimes I would be on MySpace and things would slow down to dial-up speed. I thot it was all the apps and crap that lived there doing it because I didn't have that problem with forum boards. (FB also has that problem)
MySpace was fun when I first got there. I had a Shale space where I flirted with all the cute, bare-chested boys.
