Do you think it's even possible to fall in love with your rapist....and are you put off by women who do?

It certainly is if they don't know it. They had an episode of Law and Order SVU with that, a woman married her rapist who also raped the woman they got their foster kid from, and the wife didn't know until the end that her husband was the one who had attacked her a couple years earlier, and then she couldn't get away from him fast enough. Though when you actually know who it is...well, I guess if there are women stupid enough to fall in love with serial killers, anything's possible.

i knew someone who did. i wasnt sure if it was stockholm syndrome, a feeling of guilt that she couldnt stop it from happening or that she deserved it somehow, OR that she thought she was damaged now and no one else would want her. once she admitted it in our support group, she was not really welcomed back tho---i think that was really wrong.

i dont think it is right to judge her, no one knows what happened to her, how or if she recovered mentally... maybe that was her way of coping.

1. Not by someone who didn't already have serious emotional problems.
2. Sorry to be judgmental but most likely yeah.

On soap operas they do.
