An employee at Gabrielle Jackson’s middle school allegedly said that the girl should
undergo surgery if she wants to stop being bullied.

Not all school bullies are students — some work there.

Tammie Jackson phoned a Missouri school district to say that her daughter Gabrielle, 13, was routinely harassed because of her large breasts. But the alleged response from an employee horrified the already worried mother.

“The lady on the phone said they could transfer my daughter and said her boobs were so large she will always get teased. And the only suggestion she had for me is to have my daughter get a breast reduction,” Jackson told local Fox-affiliate KTVI.

Bullies at Central Middle School in Moline Acres, near St. Louis, make lewd and insensitive comments about Gabrielle’s large breasts, her mother claimed.

The girl’s mother Tammie Jackson was deeply troubled by the
response she says she received concerning her daughter’s predicament.

Jackson expected the school to look into the issue and tell the suspects to stop humiliating the sixth-grade girl. Instead, Jackson said the blame was placed unfairly on Gabrielle, the victim, rather than the bullies.

“It makes me feel like now you are telling me it’s my fault, it’s God’s fault the way he made my daughter,” she said.

Jackson also said that her son Elijah, 9, is bullied regularly because of surgical scars on his chest. The taunts, she said, have lead Elijah to talk about suicide.

Jackson worries greatly that bullying early on in life can adversely affect that person for the rest of his or her life. She thinks that adults need to take a more active role in having open discussions with children about these issues.

“Talk with the kids,” Jackson said. “Let them know people’s bodies are changing, everybody is different, but God made us all great.”

None of the schools business. They need to deal with the bullies & shut the hell up.

That's about as much the school's business as when my oldest sister's male teacher told my mom HE would decide when she needed to wear a bra, that it wasn't any of my mother's concern.

If there was any proof that the school employee said that it would be time for a civil suit and loss of money for the school district. About the only way to make them institute policies and enforcement against such outrageous insensitivity.

I hate to imply that large breasts are a disability but this might be an ADA lawsuit where they failed at reasonable accommodation.

Whoever spoke to the girl's mother is an ass hole. A lazy ass hole.

The article doesn't mention that she spoke to someone in power. Sounds like it may have been some flunky who just answered the phone. If so, she should have gotten their name, insisted they be disciplined and then start making lawsuit threats.

LOL. I would've prayed for this girl's "condition" when I was her age.
