Warm Bodies
Movie Blurb

I don't care for Zombie movies - think they're stupid. Dead ppl staggering around groaning and eating live ppl - what kinda sense does that make? Not rational like Werewolves and Vampires. But, watching the trailers for this movie made me overlook the silly premise and I was really intrigued by a zombie rom/com.
The movie opens with a zombie (Nicholas Hoult) staggering jerkily around an airport thinking in voiceover about his undead life. He doesn't remember much, thinks his name starts with 'R' and observes all the other zombie undead going thru the motions of living.
This is a dystopian future and R gives several possible explanations to what happened, but the zombies are wandering around and the living ppl are in a city behind a huge wall. They send teams of armed young ppl out into zombie land to forage for supplies and on one team Julie (Teresa Palmer) and her boyfriend are attacked by a pack of zombies.
IDK if it is common to all zombie movies that they particularly like to eat brains but as R explains it, he also takes on the thots of the brain he eats and that is one of his few joys. So, he ends up killing Julies B/F and eating his brain, which causes him to have the hots for Julie. He rescues her from the other zombies and sneaks her back to his home in an abandoned plane. This love he feels is affecting his deadness and he starts being able to say words and after Julie gets over her fear they start to hit it off.
Not only is R getting warmer, but it seems to be spreading to others around him and this is noticed by the 'bonies' zombies who have gone completely over and have shed most of their human flesh. R and M and the warming zombies help get Julie past the bonies on her way back to the city.
I really liked this movie. It was funny with most of the humor coming from the deadpan dialogue. I may even see it again in theater and the DVD goes into my collection when it comes out.
