Who do you believe in supporting?

Everybody knows a store or a business that they believe giving financial support to, you'd rather shop here, than somewhere else, you'd rather see this person stay in business than this one, etc. When it comes to your money and time and everything, who do you believe in supporting?

Libraries and post offices are at the top of my list, some people say there are too many, we don't need them all, they need to cut back the hours and days, etc., I say they need our business and we need them to stay open, we need their services and I don't think too many of us could afford if the ones in our towns suddenly went belly up. It would be a hell of a difference from just going a few blocks down the street to the post office to drop off the Christmas packages to instead having to drive 3-4 miles to another town to do the same thing. I also believe in taking my business to Dollar General and the smaller chain grocery stores instead of Wal-Mart when and where possible.

How about everyone else?

i order pizza from my local small business rather than pizza hut... i send everything to the PO (some might think its job security, but it is actually cheaper anyway with the priority flat rate boxes).

Believe it or not... our postal uniforms are available to us with two prices. I originally thought the second price was for a larger size, i wear a 2XL and this is normal. But i went to order a zip up hoodie, and one price was $35 and the other was $50. When i investigated, i realized that all of the cheaper prices were made in china--- from the same distributor!!! omg... smh so i buy my uniforms for the higher price. when they started making them in china, the factory in PA that used to make them closed down.

I totally believe in supporting the post office. I still buy money orders from them, even though they went up like a motherfucker, I still mail off my bills, I still send packages through the mail. It's shame they don't get federal backing.

We used to get money orders from the bank, until they went up to $3 a piece, at the post office it's only $1.05.

we hear shit all the time.. about how we break things, the packages rip, the items dont get there. If you saw how much we actually DO process, the amount of mail with wrong addresses, the amount of shit that people package improperly you would be amazed. I kid you not.. i saw a glass snow globe come thru WITHOUT a box the other day.. just a paper wrapping and postage on it. REALLY? did they REALLY expect it not to shatter and cut up my hands???

I will admit our machines suck... but there arent any better ones out there. Ppl dont think about what we go thru..... SHIT sample were improperly packages, and after going thru the machine, splattered all over my partner. She had to get tested every 3 mos for two years because HIPAA laws would not allow the post office to know why the feces was being tested. SMH. ppl have no idea. Alan might remember that even an alligator got loose some months ago in a local plant!
