It's just a theory, but the population of this country has more than doubled since I was the age of these mini-psychopaths. I'm sure we had some back then too but I think it's just that when you increase the general population by almost 150,000,000, the number of homicidal maniacs will increase proportionally too. Add the fact that the reach of news coverage has so gretly increased. No way I would have heard about this story on the evening news or would it have made the front page of a newspaper in my area back around 1967. There are more crazies today and it's easier to hear about them. | |

Yeah, this would have been handled as a local anomaly in that small community and may have gone under the radar of UPI or AP - our only sources back then. Still it is disturbing to see any kids without a sense of right or wrong. | |
