How do you feel about private organizations (including social clubs and schools) being able to unabashedly discriminate with who they allow in or reject -- for whatever reason, now matter how shallow or offensive? In your opinion, should this be allowed?

Why shouldn't they? What right has anybody to force a private business to do business with them?

Private businesses already have discriminatory policies that are perfectly acceptable such as minimum age limits (even for establishments where the law would permit a minor anyway) and/or dress codes. As far as I am concerned, it's a private business and so they should be allowed to refuse service. It does amaze me why people would want to be served by a business who doesn't want to serve them. Unless of course they just want to punish the business, which shows the kind of vindictive person they are. If a business wants to forego your money, isn't that their right? In today's day and age, if they are outed, they'll lose business. That's their right. And it's certainly not any government's place to force them to. That's a problem with the world today. Everyone wants to have the law legislate their happiness and whims.

If they're in no way publically funded that's their business. Just as it's my business if I don't want to give them my business. Just because you can do something doesn't always mean you should.

Private clubs are just that, but they should not have access to ANY public facilities if they discriminate.

The BSA is an example that courts uphold their right to discriminate - but ppl like me have raised so much hell about them using our public schools, firehouses and parks for free that they are being confined to churches where they belong.

If they are privately funded, then I guess they should have the legal right to do business as they see fit. It just sucks that in such scenarios, those in charge are working with a jaded moral compass.
