I go there once in awhile. But the ones here have cut back on certain products and are selling more food. Don't like it as well as I used to.

They're opening one about 10 miles from here very soon. I think I'll mention it to my wife to see what she thinks. Thanks for the reminder!

They don't have any around here....but they're like Wal-Mart to me. Great for picking up needed items at a discount rate. They were great when we dropped my brother off for the first time at college and we got a lot of his dorm stuff from Big Lots.

Eh. When I was a kid, my aunt picked me up from school once and we stopped inside a Big Lots on the way home....and even then I remember thinking it wasn't shit. It's been over 20 years since the last time I was inside one, but if memory serves, it was just a bigger version of a dollar store.

they just came to our area a few years ago... I got dinnerware that was $90 anywhere else for $30!!! Can't beat that! I admit I rarely go there, because of my work schedule I usually do the 24hour stores. But I have gotten some really good deals there in the past

They were cool when I was younger. In high school, I got a sewing machine I had my eye on that retailed at $700, I paid $300. Plus they used to have good deals on beauty products.

But then they started going downhill. I bought a satin comforter that couldn't take one romp in the gentle cycle. While they were selling Maybelline nail polish for $2/bottle, Dollar Tree had a two pack. Big Lots used to be fun to hunt for overstock gems, but now they have generic items and seem just as expensive, if not more, than other places. The furniture looks nothing like it does in the ads, and I realized if I paid $50-$100 more I could get a much better quality somewhere else. Plus their rewards card is a joke--you have to spend like, over $20 dollars in 10 different visits to get 20% off one purchase. WTF. I rarely go there anymore, Ollies is way better.

Funny I was just in a Big Lots last week. Had to fight the traffic to get in and out and it was not worth going to, they had very little on the shelves.

Off hand, I know of at least three Big Lots around here. In fact, there's one across the street from my job. I haven't been inside one in years though. From what I recall, it was this big open space with not much inside.

They have been here since I moved here and I have always gone. Then they moved to a newer building and are pretty nice. But, really, you have to watch their prices. Some of their stuff is not at all that great. I recall Christmas shopping for my friends' younger kids and bought some puzzles, then found the same puzzles at an adjacent Dollar Tree. So, I returned the Big Lot ones that were $2.99.

But, on my last trip there, I found scrapbooking sticker letters, a certain "better brand" that go for $4, for .99.

I go to one in NJ once in a while. I can usually get cheap printer paper from there.
