A few weeks ago, I accidentally deleted a whole folders worth of personal files and I don't have any kind of software to back any of them up. Needless to say that sucked. Have you ever accidentally deleted any of your files and do you have anything to back them in case that happens?

I've done that & it sucks. I have some Hitch videos & recently backed them up on a flash drive. They're fairly inexpensive now if you don't want to spend a lot of money.

Re: Accidentally deleted files
i've never lost any folders, but have lost a document or two in confusion of transferring from one device or another.
I backup all my stuff on USB drives AND an external hard drive at my computer.
The USB I carry in my bag to work in case my apartment burns while I'm not there or if someone is so desperate that they would steal my old Dell tower and the external drive.
I also have burned CD's with various subjects over the years to archive my documents and fotos.

Can't recall that I've done that but it's possible. We do back ups on a regular basis anyway. I've had more of a problem not knowing where I accidentally dragged a file to.

I have Flash Drives and 2 External Hard drives that I back stuff up to. I also sometimes back them on a CD Rom or a DVD Rom.

I have accidentally deleted some files but nothing especially important.

I have everything important to me (mostly music) backed up on a portable hard drive.
