I think the madcap stars of yesteryear were a lot funnier than say the comedians or the stand ups or the sitcom shows of today. Who comes to mind: Lucille Ball, Abbott and Costello and Laurel and Hardy. The little Rascals were pretty funny too and the 3 Stooges. You don't get that kind of comedy today.
