Kelly's comment about how the criminals have more protection than the victims sure was accurate. Murderers and attempted murderers go free, while the innocent are locked up, thanks to John and his corruption. If you're a friend of John's, you have a get out of jail card free, even when John is breaking the law to keep that person out of jail. The victims are the ones who are seen as the bad guys and pressured to let the criminals go free. I still not happy with Tea for using her illness to get a cold-blooded, attempted killer to go free to harm again, though anything that happens will be on her head.
The DA and cops either screw things up because of their incompetence or they break the law to get what they want, and then the case gets thrown out. As long as John and Nora are in charge and allowed to continue their corrupt, criminal ways, the criminals will usually go free while the victims suffer.
