People knew who I was...but I wouldn't say I was the popular cheerleader type. I didn't like most of the people I went to high school with anyway, most of my friends didn't even attend my school or graduated before I did.

Nope - wasn't popular with the students, though the teachers liked me because I was a hard worker who always came to class prepared and ready to work. I loved school. I went to school with a bunch of snobby kids who thought they were something really special, so while I had my circle of friends, we weren't part of the in crowd, nor did we want to be. They were into different things than we were - drugs, partying, drinking.

I had an intimate circle of about three or four friends. I wasn't popular or infamous but I wasn't disliked either. My HS experience was pretty calm and lowkey.

I ain't "rule" the school or nothing but I had my clique of peeps and we all had our extended associates to other popular peeps & cliques so I was known (popular) thru association.
