| Do you find them entertaining/funny/endearing....or....do you find them creepy/annoying? I despise clowns. Have ever since I was 3 years old, when during a street carnival a clown came up to me and claimed I had a dusty nose (and dusts it with his feather thingee.) | |

| Bozo, Ronald McDonald and Homey the Clown are funny/entertaining, but fuck Pennywise and Punchy. I've never been scared of clowns in the traditional sense. | |

| Shortly after I got in contact with the doctor Patch Adams, my mother commented it's weird because I always liked clowns, and she specifically remembers when I was 3 and 4 and 5 I always wanted a clown birthday cake. She doesn't like clowns because she's known some that were real perverts and grabbed people and everybody just thought it was funny...I'm glad to say I've never known any of that sort. Good thing too because that could've soured me on them and I would've missed a great opportunity. | |

| I'm not comfortable around them - mimes, either. They kinda creep me out. There are a couple of pan handles downtown who dress up as... Plaster Guy and Copper girl, I think - covered head to toe in plaster or copper coloured clothing, including their faces, though Plaster Guy wears sun glasses. Both of them also creep me out a bit, too. They've used some kind of spray paint on ALL of their clothing and are the same colour (white for plaster guy and copper for Copper Girl) form head to foot. | |

| I think clowns are stupid and don't really get the POINT of them. Are they supposed to be these space aliens with white skin, red ball noses and deformed feet . . . or are we just suppose to think it's funny that they paint themselves white and wear tacky outfits???
What's the illusion here? | |

| Well let's face it, Bozo wouldn't have been so memorable if he'd just looked like everybody else, the blue suit, white face and big red hair made him, and maybe that's the idea, they DO look so drastically different so you remember them. | |

| I think that's it, Supernova - they... how did one of my friends put it? Something about how they don't fit the norms of society - she didn't like clowns or mimes, either. I can't remember her exact wording, but how they don't look or act the way most other people do, so it pushes your comfort zone. I just know I'm not very comfortable around them and prefer to avoid them when I can. | |

| I don't really have any strong opinions either way. Some people go to school for it so they must take it seriously and want to be an entertainer, so that is pretty cool. | |
