Talk about the beach in here. Stories, thoughts, whatever. (Sorry if a thread like this already exists, didn't see one specifically about this)

The best beach I ever was at (Midwestern gal here, the bar is set low) is Schoolhouse beach at Washington Island in MI. The beach is full of smooth rocks and is amazing to be able to walk on all the smooth rocks.

My favorite beach was when I went to St. Maarten, the ocean was just beautiful, white sand and you could actually see your feet on the bottom. The water was warm and clear and it was like paradise. Lake Meade in Las Vegas was also a beautiful beach, very clean water but the beach itself was a bit rocky. I try to avoid the beaches here in NY who wants to swim in the nasty, murky atlantic. Unless I am taking a trip down to the Titanic I won't go in the ocean here anymore.

I haven't been to the beach in years. I don't even know where one is (strange, I know, since I'm living in what's called the 'Great Lakes' state.) The last time I went to the beach was when I took a vacation to Florida, back when I was in college.

Beach season is rapidly approaching (and is probably already here for some of you.) Any plans for the beach this year? What I said above still stands, I don't know of any beaches around here, but it is something that I am going to look into for this summer. I kind of want to go.

I don't know about the beach but the pool for sure. Some time next month probably.

never been to the beach.. however my roommates took a trip to la this weekend and the beach is where they're at right now.

The sand at the beach in Clearwater Fl is like flour. At least it was the last time we were there and since the folks moved to S.C. I don't expect to go back to Florida any time soon.
