This New Season Stinks So Far

All of the storylines are dull, and Vanessa Williams is woefully out of place. It's like she's supposed to be the new Edie Britt, or something....but it's not working. I was looking forward to the return of Paul Young, but it's been thus far dry.

Susan and her Landlord so far have been the hit of the season, even though I hate Teri Hatcher she has been really funny.

I'm glad I'm not the onyl one who doesn't see V's character fitting in. Eddie did eventually grow on me, but VM's character just isn't working at all. Eddie was always supposed to be that bad girl, anyway, where as VM's character just doesn't fit at all. I can't even remember her name!

I can't stand Orson. I hope he ends up miserable and alone while Bree moves on. He's such a wimp. I've never liked him and last season and what I've seen of this season have made me hate him all the more.

Susan and mike are okay, but I'm not as interested in them as I used to be.

I'm actually enjoying the storyline with Juanita, Gabi and Carlos, though. That's probably the one that I"m most interested in.

Bringing back Paul Young could have been explosive plot to bring the show full circle or it could have been a desperate stunt cooked up by uninspired writers. It's looking like the latter. Sad to say, but Desperate Housewives is running out of juice. A long running Knots Landing, it ain't!

I actually don't hate it. I think Williams' character is fun and she and Bree both into the same guy was interesting. Fun to have Bree knowingly into a younger, hot guy.

I LOVED Carlos' reaction to Gabby having the lawyer find the family. He was not willing to see her point, and he was right and he was so angry and so telling that he can forgive an affair, but not a betrayal involving their daughter. I wonder if it will come about that there was really not a switch.

Funny thing is that I would want to know who my biological child is, I am surprised at Carlos he is so family oriented. I really don't like Teri Hatcher but I am finding her very funny with her new job and Lanie Kazan is too funny as her "landlady". Bree needs to lighten up and Andrew needs more storyline. What happened to Bree's daughter?

I think Danielle is going to be on at some point this season. I hope Andrew gets a good storyline too.

I wonder if it'll come out that the girl's weren't switched after all, too. There's been no mention of a DNA test, which is the first thing I'd have insisted on, but I guess with the blood types not matching, they just left it at that. I wonder if it'll come out that the girls weren't switched, but that Juanita isn't actually Carlos' child. I can't see them making Carlos and Gaby give up their daughter, but this really is interesting - the only storyline I really care about this season so far. The others I can take or leave.

Do you really think they would go there in making Juanita not Carlos'? I think that would really be opening a can of worms. I hope they don't go that route. But I do hope that it turns out that they really were not switched.

As a parent, I would be just like Carlos. I would want to keep things as is, and then investigate it when my son is in his late teens.

Either way, Gabby and Carlos will end up keeping both daughters. I imagine whoever has her kid will be total slobs and will more than likely be taken out by this year's December "tragedy" and like always, an inconvenience will be dealt with.

Then the second half of the season will deal with the new rivalry between the girls.

Only speculation, but DH has never been that hard to predict.

She was on last night, is that the same girl that played her in the past? She looks so different.

Well, 2 years off of the show can do that to you.

I am surprised that they kept the same boy for the role. Shows so rarely do that.

ITA Redbedroom - I hope it turns out that the girls weren't actually switched but I think it's going to end with Gaby getting what's her name's Mom kicked out of the country and then she'll live in fear that the mom will come back and get her daughter.
