I wasn't against that in particular, $95 for a shirt WAS ridiculous.

But it was a Gordon Gartrelle!

Man I know. You gotta be willing to shell out a bill for a Gordon Gartrelle! That's just basic.

Speaking of the Cosby Show, this is going to sound mean, but when I used to watch it as a little kid when it was on the air, I used to despise the episodes where Cliff's parents would visit. I remember thinking that they were such an intrusion and would get mad. One time I got so up in arms over an episode that featured them that my mom frustratedly told me to shut up, and warned that one day when I was old, people weren't going to want me around either. lol

They don't have it on TV anymore, so I don't get to see them anymore, but I don't recall too many times when Cliff's parents came on, oh I know they were there, Russell more than the grandmother, but I didn't mind them...but I did find it odd that we NEVER saw Claire's parents, did anybody else notice that?

I didn't notice 'cause it ain't so. No argument that Cliff's parents were seen far more often (his father, Russell in particular) but Clair's mother and father (Al and Carrie Hanks) were seen. So was her sister Sarah. And her three mules.

Hm, I must've missed that episode, the closest I remember is when Cliff called Claire's mother to tell her about when he and Claire were young and didn't go to the church picnic.

It was more than just one. Her father was on about 3 times and her mother about a half dozen.

Oh there have been SO many arguments between people who watch the show about that episode, THAT was THE one where Claire scared me, THAT is when you know you as the child have seriously fucked up with you've got your mother screaming at you like that. But I definitely think Claire was justified in her anger, worried that her daughter was dead when she wasn't even in the fire and in another state where nobody knew where they were and they could've gotten killed and nobody would know it. That's an episode that I was always able to see both sides on, though oddly enough, even though I've never been a parent, I could see more Claire's side of it than Vanessa's.

That episode, in my opinion, has some of the best acting of the show. Claire's rant is perfection. It's so well done. And Vanessa did a great job jumping from comedic to dramatic. It's a perfect episode, in my opinion.

    Cliff Huxtable's mom passes

Clarice Taylor, 'Cosby Show' and 'Sesame Street' actress, dies at 93

Clarice Taylor, most famous for playing Dr. Cliff Huxtable's mother on "The Cosby Show" and Harriet on "Sesame Street," has died at the age of 93, reports People. Clarice played Harriet on the popular children's show for 14 years, while also spending some time as the Huxtable matriarch.

Taylor played alongside Earle Hyman for seven years as Bill Cosby's onscreen quirky parents, Anna and Russell Huxtable. Taylor received an Emmy nomination in 1986 for Outstanding Guest Performer in a Comedy Series for her work on "The Cosby Show."

Besides her work on "The Cosby Show," Clarice also starred in Clint Eastwood's directorial debut, the psychological thriller "Play Misty for Me," and appeared on the stage numerous times, including in the original Broadway cast of "The Wiz" as Addaperle, the Good Witch of the North. Interestingly enough, her future onscreen daughter-in-law Phylicia Rashad was a munchkin in that production.

People reports that Taylor died of heart failure and was surrounded by her family. She is survived by two sons, William and James, and five grandchildren.

I think the Obama's have officially taken over the Huxtable's in terms of "Perfect Black Family".

I don't that will ever happen. The Huxtable's are prob. the reason Obama got elected. Nobody will be a better and funnier dad than Cliff. Nobody will be smarter and prettier than Claire. Huxtables are still the IT.

Loved this show growing up, still do.

Sondra and Elvin had to be corniest/most annoying couple ever on TV, I couldn't, still can't stand them. Vanessa was annoying as hell too when she was in her boy crazy/who said, she said phase, I loved it when Rudy would school her on certain things. Other than that, rest of the Cosby kids were koo. Bud was the shit though.

I remember my grandpa used to do his "Cosby" dance... He would imitate Bill Cosby dancing, when Bill danced solo in the intro, think it was season 2.

The person I couldn't stand the most on The Cosby Show was Olivia. Sondra was corny too, prob. useless for the most part...but I actually liked Elvin. He had a dry type of humor about him that I liked.

LOL. Stop reaching. Denise and Vanessa's interactions were a normal part of growing up, especially between sisters. Sisters that close in age fight over anything.

Whatever. Oh, but I forgot...you don't like clothes or fashion do you? So it's not like you would understand or relate to that scenario. And putting crayons in the washing machine because it said they were "washable" will always be more stupid than fighting over a sweater. LOL. Now I see why you liked Olivia. Figures.
