    Or measles? or mumps, or any of those other childhood ailments you never really hear about anymore?

    I've had chickenpox twice, once when I was 3 and then again when I was 18. I never had mumps, or measles, or German measles, or any of that other stuff.

    When I was 7. Haven't had it since. Never had the measles or mumps either.

    I've had all the "childhood diseases." That was all we could do back when I was a child.

    I was lucky and probably the first generation to get polio vaccination. Oh, and everyone was getting smallpox vaccinations too.

    When i was in Pre-school. Never had mumps or measles nor other diseases,had all my shots.

    Had chicken pox when I was 8 but was immunized against the others so I haven't had to worry.

    And that's odd, because I never had immunizations, this being back before the you-should-be-arrested-if-you-don't-get-your-kid-every-shot-in-the-world craze. My brother had the chickenpox shot, it about killed him and he still got it anyway, also twice, so apparently my parents decided not to even bother trying the same luck with me. So I never had any shots, and I have also never had measles, mumps, German measles, smallpox, polio, or whatever the hell they give you shots for. Only thing I ever get is the flu, and who doesn't?

    Also, does anybody besides me find it very odd that you never really hear about mumps or measles anymore? You hear about them all the time on old TV shows and in movies but today, hardly.

    I've had measles, mumps, and chicken pox when I was a tyke. Shots for about everything else...distemper, jock itch...the usual stuff.

    Never had any of it. But I learned something last summer...kids who have been vaccinated against chicken pox can still get it. Granted, it is usually a much milder case, but still.

    Yeah, had them when I was ten. Caught them from a girl in my class. Everyone knew she why she was out, and all the kids kept saying 'If I get the chickenpox, I'm gonna beat her ass.' I think I may have said it too, but really I didn't care. It was a week off from school.

    A week? I thought the usual run for them was two weeks. It certainly took about that long for me to get over them finally.
