| I only have a Visa debit card. Discover gets dismissed a lot, but I know a few reasonably wealthy people who have Discover and make regular use of it. | |

| I have all, but I use my American Express Gold Card up the wazoo. It's just easier because no interest accumulates. AE keeps telling me I'm approved for the Platinum Card, but I can't justify the $400 a year membership fee.
Anyway, I've become totally against accumulating interest on Visa and Mastercard and I only use them from time to time to keep my accounts active.

| I only have Visa and MasterCard. I have a Visa debit card and a Visa and MasterCard credit card. I used to have AmEx.....but I got tired of paying the annual fee. Especially since I don't use my credit cards often, I don't need anything that charges me an annual fee. | |

Had an American Express card in college. That lasted all of ten minutes. They wouldn't dare give me another one and I wouldn't dare ask. I have a Visa check/debit card that I use on a regular basis and a very, very restricted Master Card that I've had for three years and only ever used twice. I have pretty much no use for a credit card at all, they're the plastic equivalent to Frankenstein turning on it's creator for anyone who ain't above working class.

| A lot of places don't accept Amex, they'll actually take Discover instead....which I'm usually shocked by. To answer the question, I have a Visa Debit and a Visa Credit. I hardly use the latter. I despise getting those monthly billing statements and having to pay them by check. Credit cards are for "emergency only" on my end. | |

| Debit cards here in Canada are issued by the banks and are used as cash. I have 2 visa cards both with low limits in case we want to use them on internet purchases. We cut up the high limit card last year, then Visa sent us a bill for 8¢, so I took 8 cents to the bank that issued that visa, and paid the bill. A couple of months later we got statement saying we had an 8¢ credit! The large limit card also had a yearly fee, and since we didn't plan to use the card again it seemed silly to pay the fee, | |

| Of course I have a (Visa) debit. Life would be meaningless without it.
As far as credit goes; I have a MasterCard, Amex and my wife just added me to her Discover account. Like everyone else, using them tends to freak me out.
I'm safe with my debit. | |

| I really don't know why people are scared to have credit cards. I guess you have no self control. Credit cards can be good thing and it's a great way to build your credit. | |

We do tend to use the debit more but it's good to have some debt for your credit rating. I do tend to use the credit card for internet purchases too because of greater protection.
