Apparnetly this 5 yr old loves Scooby Doo and his mom let him dress up as Daphnee. The other kids moms in his class didn't like it. So his mom wrote an angry blog post denouncing the intolerance that got a bunch of hits and comments.

He's cute. My nephew dressed up as a girl for Halloween 2 years in a row, nobody got their panties in a bunch over it.

What's funnier is that he even looks just like Daphne.

Some ppl are so conventional and narrow minded. Like the momma said, he's a five-year-old boy. He saw a character that he admires and wanted to be her on Halloween.
Then the overthinkers got involved and made something of it that wasn't (Or Was - who cares)
IDK if the boy will turn out to be gay. Some gay men tell me they always knew, even before they got sexual. But got to admire his mother for being supportive of his creative wishes.
Now I identified as str8 in my youth even tho I may not have been the usual jock type male teen. In high school I used up all my fine arts credits and had to take a practical art course which was shop, mechanical drawing or typing. I chose typing and my mom was really upset - wanted me to take the more manly choices. Now at that time the typing class was mostly girls - whose only job opportunities were secretary or nurse (BTW I'm a nursing assistant).
Coulda been my gay starting to show, since I wasn't conniving to take typing to hit on the girls. BTW, my typing may have kept me out of war. The Air Force put me in an office because of that skill, which I think was better than going to Vietnam.

I ain't for crossdressing(or Halloween for that matter), but this is a bit far. Guys dress as girls on Halloween all the time. It's stupid to get all upset over this. If he's coming to school in a dress on a normal day, I get it. But it's Halloween. If kids are coming in costume, lighten up.

So what's your opinion of this?

I only watched 1:30 cause I am easily bored. But I do have a one-word opinion on it based on where I think it's going(and you can let me know if there is some big twist later on. ): counterproductive!

It sounds like these Moms have too much time on their hands. I mean, honestly, why are they making such a fuss about this? The boy wanted to dress up as Daphne, so why he shouldn't be allowed to? It's just narrow-mindedness. These Moms really need to get a life.

What I'm not getting is how it's any of these other moms business anyway? Tend to your own kids in their cheesy plastic G.I. Joe masks. Don't worry about this other little boy. He isn't your concern.
