My son JUST asked me this question today as we walked into the library. I told him that the only car I ever knowingly want to own is a vintage Nova.

We have a good friend who has a job at a dealership in body work. He gets three traded in vehicles per year cheap as hell so we get our vehicles a couple years old through him most of the time we buy. So, really, he dictates what we buy!

What I could buy right now if I wanted to, this:



I want one of these so bad, I've been thisclose to buying it several times. But I'm trying to keep my priorities in check. I wouldn't consider it my dream car though.

I'm still a couple of years away from having to make that decision again so I have no idea what will be on the market. I might do some research on a Volkswagen TDI diesel.

I would love a 2-door '11 Hyundai Sonata. Black or silver. But, like Alan, I too am a few years away from a new car. So unless something happens to my current ride, I doubt very much that I will be getting a new grip next year.

It's going to be a while before I need a new vehicle, but I'm not too particular about what I drive, just as long as it runs well. If I could have any car in the world I would have an original VW Beetle or a Robin's Egg Blue Thunderbird - but those are my dream cars and they're rare and far out of reach!
