| I really hope this doesn’t degenerate into something nasty. I’m a proud citizen of the United States but I know that no place is perfect. I’ve never even been to Canada and don’t really know anything about living there so it would be pretty ignorant of me to say anything against it. The U.S. is my home and here is where I want to live and die, but if I ever did have to leave, Canada would probably be my first stop. Either that or Pittsburgh.

I remember a while ago, I was seriously considering moving to Toronto. Americanized, but still Canada. I like Canadian policies and the overall way they handle themselves. The U.S. is my home and this is where I was born and raised, but this is a racist, egotistical, selfish ass country. And the powers that be are hellbent on not allowing it to change. That being said, I could definitely live in Canada....but unless I get a great job there, I don't see myself moving there. Or hell, maybe I will.

| If I ever was gonna leave the country, Canada would probably be my top choice, since it's so close location-wise and culturally. Other than that, I don't know which place is better. | |

| I've lived in the northern part of the US, St. Louis and Pittsburgh. If I were to tolerate those winters I would likely consider living in Canada because it seems to be more liberal than the US.
But, last I checked South Florida was still in the US (doesn't really seem that way sometimes) so I prefer the US.

Oops. Sorry, that really was a random selection. Nothing against Pittsburgh. Nah, Pittsburgh's cool.....it's a great college town. That's the only reason he's there anyway, lol......he goes to Pitt. Cost of living is CHEAP, he has his own place that's just as nice as mine and pays a FRACTION of what I pay....but damn, I visited him back in June and that place is just so dead at night. And he lives by the 'hood'. I remember when me, him and my dad went to check out the school when he was in high school.....they put us up in a hotel and I remember wanting to go out and explore the city. Get a drink or something. Left the hotel, went downtown and.it.was.completely.dead. Nothing was stirring, not even a mouse. And it's 8 o' damn clock at night! I told him, this place is perfect for you. Good thing he's not a rowdy person, lol.

| I would say Canada. A lot of people say Canada and the US are so similar but really they're not. I have friends that lived there then moved to the States and its interesting how different things are.
I've noticed alot of differences too when visiting Canada. The food is VERY different. Not as good as Canada's in my opinion. The traffic lights and intersections work differently. There's a lot more crime in the States. Whats really funny is I find the states have a lot of billboard ad's lol. Canada has them in major cities and whatnot but in the states they're plastered everywhere! The laws are different too. The US has more strict drug laws and traffic laws.
Overall though... Canada. They may have some harsh winters but their food is better, they have way lower crime rates, a better healthcare system.. although I hear doctors in the US give more of a damn. But no one over there is going bankrupt because they needed any treatments or surguries. And I also like that their government isn't so scandalous. And by that I mean they don't ever hear much in the tabloids or magazines about their politicians private lives... but in the U.S., Clinton and Obama stayed in the gossip rags.
If you really want a good comparison of Canada and the U.S. I suggest you watch Sicko. Its a Michael Moore documentary. Also I think "Bowling for Columbine" has some comparisons too about the gun laws and whatnot.

| USA! It's not perfect but it's still good, for now anyway. I'll leave Canada to the Canadians. USA is better. | |
