When it was announced that Kim Zimmer was returning to play Echo DiSavoy -- a minor character from nearly thirty years ago, who had only a brief run at the time, I thought the show was just pulling another 'stunt casting' for attention, and that it would most likely be a bust. I was wrong. This Echo/Charlie/Clint/Rex story has me on the edge of my seat, which is a feat, considering how I am not a fan of two of the principal players (Charlie and Rex) involved. Who knew that Rex's Parentage: Part Eighty-Six would actually be interesting?

Echo's return trumps Kelly's, and Kelly has much stronger ties to the canvas.

I hope that its Clint that is Rex's father, it would be far more interesting to have Clint since now he and Rex are so at odds. I almost feel sorry for Rex having Echo for a mother, I still like it better when he was Roxy's son.

Yeah - I'm actually getting interested in it, too. I think it's helped having Gigi out of Rex's orbit. I can't stand him when she's in the picture,but away from her... well - I'm not automatically reaching for the FF button the way I usually do. Should be very interesting to see where this goes, though I'd still like Rex to show some remorse of guilt for his crimes in regard to Sam. Maybe Clint can point out what he did to Todd and say that what Clint is doing is no different, or something like that - something to get Rex to feel bad for forging Sam's death and almost getting Todd killed and bringing Ramsey to town as a result of it all.

Anyone familiar with Kim Zimmer would know that she would be a valuable addition to any show.She's no wallflower,no matter what role she plays.

I loved KZ on GL! Was glad to see her come to OLTL and I'm glad she's getting a meaty role, because I know she can play it. She's the only reason I have any real interest in this Rex storyline, though it does help that Fifi is out of the picture for now. Wonder if she'll come back with her hair dyed yet another colour. She can't get much shorter than she is unless she shaves it off.

LOL Fifi, did she dye her hair again, it looked darker yesterday. Hopefully they will get rid of Gigi soon she has definetly outlived her purpose on the show. Wonder what happened to Shane?

Gigi makes me think of some fluffed up poodle and the frequent hair style/hair colour changes just make it all the worse. I don't think she's changed her hair in the last few weeks - I pay as little attention as possible - but Fifi just seems to fit because she's like a poodle whose owner changes her hair every few months. She really has outlived her usefulness. Plus, I just don't care for FF. I think she's one of the main reasons I have NO interest in Fifi.

Yeah - I think if Dorian didn't always act like the sun rose and set on her, she woudln't be so bad. The writing has he coming off as SO pathetic and so hypocritical and judgmental. She really needs to be taken down a few pegs.
