Wonder what's up with Ronan

So now we know that Ronan is seriously ill with something. I wonder what it is - somethign that causes muscle weakness and that he's taking medication for. I don't know how long Jeff Branson will be around, but I'm hoping for awhile, if they're introducing a serious illness in him. I wonder if TPTB would go the root of something like Parkinson's or Multiple Sclerosis. It would be interesting, that's for sure.

Seems that they're going to be putting Heather and Ronan together.

I don't know because I wondered the same thing. I hope it is curable so we can keep him around awhile.

It sounds like Ronan thinks his condition is terminal and that's why he doesn't want to get close to Nina - he doesn't want her to have to loose another son. I'm glad to see Ronan in a storyline - curious about whether or not they'll go with Ronan and Heather but still hoping it'll be Ronan and Chloe in the end.

Yeah I agree and Heather is grating my nerves pressuring him that way. He is none of her business and she need to back off. I tried to like her.

LOL - I've always found Heather that way, but I've only been watching since... the summer, I think. She really is being pushy and interesting where it's none of her business. I hope we get to find out soon what condition Ronan has. I'm really curious. I know that once Nina finds out, she'll want to take care of him but he's so set on keeping his distance so she doesn't get hurt anymore.

Me too because this just came up all of a sudden. He has been on for sometime now and we haven't heard anything about an illness till now.

Maybe it's suddenly getting worse? I really want to know what it is. Googling the symptoms doesn't help much but with the way MS is in the news, I'm wondering if TPTB might go that route, and then have him go for that treatment... I can't remember what it's called but it's the one where they go in and unclog the veins. I have a very dear friend whose Mom has MS and they're awaiting the clinical trials in Canada, as they're only available in the US now.

He hasn't been on in a few days. I guess this illness is leading up to another s/l.

Yeah - I think so. Last we saw was when he was at Thanksgiving and he left early to take care of Skye's disappearance.

Maybe Ronan will be the one who figures out just what Victor has done and put him under the jail.

Oh should we be so lucky! I think we're stuck with Victor for the long haul. I think once Ronan's illness comes out, he'll have to take time off work but I hope that doesn't mean Victor will think he can go all out.

Whatever it is, it must be pretty serious because I read a spoiler today that said he is going to need a donor.

Ronan has Hereditary Amyloidosis. It's a genetic condition in which the liver produces protein deposits build up in the other organs. A liver transplant is the only possible cure.

LOL - me too! It's the only reason that I haven't given up on OLTL! If not for spoilers, I'd have just quit the show, as I get tired of FFing all the time. I only watch OLTL for Todd and with the way things have been, I would have given up awhile back if I hadn't known that there were occasional glimpses of a silver lining for Todd every now and then, for a moment or two.

Maybe Nina or Chance will be able to save Ronan's life. I sure hope it is not the way he is getting off this show. I want him around for a long time.

I want him around for a long time, too! I think Nina might be the one to save his life, if they keep him around. It would be interesting if it were Chance, though, esp. with things heating up between Heather and with Chloe still interest in him, even though she behaves like such a jerk whenever she sees him.

Things are getting more serious now, though, with Ronan waiting on the test results from the doctor in Boston.

Yeah either Nina or a way to bring Chance out of witness protection to save him.

I was thinking it might be a way to bring Chance back, too. I'd LOVE to see the look on everyone's faces when Chance showed up alive and they realize what Ronan has done. I wonder how the truth will come out - if Heather will pressure Ronan into saying something or if she'll go to Nina and tell her the truth. I loved seeing how happy Nina was when Ronan showed up for Christmas. I'd like to see more of the two of them together but maybe this illness will end up doing just that. Nina's going to blame herself when she learns it's hereditary, though it could also have come from his Dad, too.

Yeah, especially Chloe who is constantly getting in Ronan's face about killing Chance. Can't wait to see that one.

Yeah! I wonder if the "mystery guest" Ronan was talking about will turn out to be Chance, just in time to save his big brother's life. As soon as Ronan said that, I wondered if they were bringing Chance back, but I haven't heard abotu any casting calls, though I don't really follow it that closely.

I am hoping someone will be able to save his life so he can stay on the show.

I think Chance will come through in the end. I wonder if we'll get a re-cast.
