Which movie do you prefer? The 70's classic Star Wars: A New Hope, or its parody from the 80's, Spaceballs?

Well since you asked I have to go with the original. Spaceballs had some laughs but I thought it was far from Brooks' best and the original is a classic. He had it right though with this quote, "Who knows? God willing, we'll all meet again in Spaceballs 2: The Search for More Money." That is too often the main reason a lot of crap gets made though I'm not going so far as to call Balls crap.

ITA with alan smithee! Star Wars for me. Spaceballs was okay - some funny moments - but for the most part, it wasn't a show I watched more than a couple of times and I haven't watched it in years and years. Don't really have an interest in seeing it again. Star Wars? I never get tired of it.
