Ever come to the defense of someone you didn't know who was being assaulted physically or verbally?

Not necessarily assaulted.....but yes for someone who was being accused of something they didn't do.

I did and it was lame. Police did nothing though I was witness to domestic violence.

No - but there's a situation in which I wish I had. I heard muffled fighting in the middle of the night but it sounded like one of those raunchy late night sex shows. It woke me up out of a dead sleep but it sounded like it was just someone's TV on way to loud, which happens. as there are three apartments that overlook the same parking lot/area, and parties and other noise carry. it took me about 5 minutes to sort out what was happening but just as i was thinking it was more than the TV it stopped, so i fell back asleep. Found out alter is was actually a domestic fight that was happening on the other side of the apartment, which was why it was so muffled. No one on that side called the police, and they would have had the fight at full volume.
