Agree or disagree?

In my home town this weekend, I was shocked to see that a little bar was allowing smoking. This past summer, our state became non smoking in bars.

I asked a woman who knows just about everything about the town (busy body) about it and she said that they lost business, then were told by a county police officer that they are not going to get in the habit of giving citations for it as they feel it is probably going to be temporary.

I think they are wrong for doing it, though, I do think that bars should be able to decide for themselves what they want to do about smoking on premises.

Definitely think bars should be able to sanction smoking....restaurants too. For as long as smoking is legal for adults, the law should allow adult establishments to decide how they wanna handle their smoking policies.

Right, it should be up to the owner.

I absolutely agree. Smoking is legal & owners should be the ones to decide whether to allow it or not. They've done the same thing here & a lot of the restaurant & bar owners have said they've seen a significant decline. If people don't want to be around smoke that's their right & they can & should do business elsewhere.
