I can't stand people who are paranoid over coughs and sneezes. That variety of paranoia bugs me...there are enough germs out there that we are going to get what we are going to get.
But, I am kind of funny when I hear stories like, "I found bruises on my leg and it lead to me learning I had such and such..." or "After a week of coughing, I learned I had..." Then I have a couple hours of, "Oh, my word, I may have that too..." But I quickly forget about it.

Oooh I have a friend like that. Whenever anyone sneezes around her, she immediately whips out some sort of disinfectant spray (which makes you wanna cough.) There's a reason why we're born with t-cells and anti-bodies. Someone else's sniffles isn't gonna give you pneumonia.

The closest I ever came was a woman I worked with a number of years ago. She didn't want to get her husband sick so she started wearing a surgical mask at work. The rest of us made our own out of rubber bands and coffee filters. To show solidarity of course :biggrin:

I think I got a mild case of it. Stuff like that crosses my mind quite frequently but I don't think it distresses me quite as much as a full fledged hypochondriac.

My brother is definitely a hypochondriac, can't tell him that ANYTHING is going around otherwise he'll get it.
I used to be the same way but I outgrew it years ago.
