| Depends on the area code. Unless maybe I'm expecting it, from a job recruiter or something like that, I don't know anybody with no 900 or no 888 number. What I DON'T answer are blocked numbers. If you feel you can't show your number, then I feel you're not worth talking to. | |

| Generally, no. I only use a cell & don't have unlimited minutes so I'm not going to waste them on wrong numbers & telemarketers. | |

Area code is key for me too. And absolutely no 900 or 888's for me either.

Try registering here. It's really helped cut down on a lot of the telemarketers.

| At least 50% of the time I let unrecognized numbers go to voice mail and then immediately check it. If it was someone important, they should have left a message and I'll immediately call back. | |

| I don't answer any 888 numbers. But if I see it is an area code in which I know someone in the area, then I do. | |

| 888 #'s tend to be bill collectors, solicitors, or just someone in an office; I never answer those. Otherwise, I'm not that phobic about unrecognizable number. I will usually answer them, depending on what I'm doing, where I'm at and what kind of mood I'm in. | |

| For the most part, I just mute the ringer and carry on. If it's an area code I recognize, I'll sometimes pick it up, but it depends. I tend to ignore "unknown caller" IDs but will sometimes pick up "private caller". | |
